IBU – Sheet-metal forming industry association Achieve more together.

The Industrieverband Blechumformung e.V. represents the companies in this industry and their partners as a national association. Our members are predominantly family-owned SMEs with a high degree of specialisation and competition experience. We create a high-performance network for sustainable success.

The more than 240 members of the association are mainly suppliers to the automotive and electronics industry, the machine and plant building industry, the furniture and construction industry and medical technology. The sales volume of the sector stood at around 21.85 billion euros in 2018, with 105,349 employees.

Technical seminars, practical working groups and regular information service for corporate practice guarantee that you will always have the information advantage. In addition, there is professional advice by the association on matters of law and business through our network of experts and the technical exchange between members.

Alternatively for us the work in the network, which we implement consistently: The members of the association are integrated into the network of the business association for steel and sheet-metal working party (WSM), the working group of suppliers (ArGeZ), the Federation of German Industry (BDI) and into the network of the International Council of Sheet Metal Presswork Associations (ICOSPA).

For example, the IBU is able to represent the interests of its members in politics, customer groups and academia and provide them with a strong voice. 

The forces of the sheet-metal working industry are combined within the association for a secure and successful future in the sector.
